The mountain is 1,735 feet at its peak, overlooking the hills and valleys of southern Berkshire County. Three miles of trails lead through the canopy forest of white pine and oaks with tulip trees, maples, chestnut saplings and mountain laurel. Rock outcrops hide small caves and several streams wind through the forest.

The Trustees of Reservations is dedicated to preserving properties of exceptional scenic, historic and ecological value throughout the Commonwealth. Founded in 1891, it is a non-profit conservation organization and relies for support entirely upon membership dues, admission fees and voluntary contributions.
