Eight changing exhibitions of Berkshire artists and twenty different art workshops in historic 1850's Greek Revival School. Contact: Jerry Rodman or Elizabeth Minich. The Becket Arts Center has been in existence for 28 years, and features workshops and a multimedia art gallery showing work by Toby Heckler and the McTeagues. The workshops begin on July 8 and run until August 20th. Half day sessions and full day sessions at a reasonable price. The workshops are all taught by local artists. Aong the topics: basket making, calligraphy, book binding and repair, journal making, paper making, photography, water colorss, chair caning, origami, pastels, pottery, hemp necklaces, miniature books and faux finishes. In addition, there are Children's Workshops, for kids ages 6-12 in arts and crafts, watercolors and wood carving. Call for more information.
