Campsites Reservation
System -
Campers may now make reservations for campsites in for of the most popular Greater Berkshire
public campgrounds. The following information will help you reserve a site for your next visit to one
of these facilities.
Canterbury Farm Ski Touring Center - Becket - X Country Skiing - No
golf course or downhill, Canterbury is mostly wooded terrain and
hilly (even includes some lake and pond sites), but is quite
suitable for both beginners and intermediates.
Canoe Meadows Wildlife Sanctuary - Pittsfield - features 262 acres of fields,
wetlands, woods, and croplands bordered by the wildlife-rich
Housatonic River. The sanctuary has three miles of nature
trails and a small observation building overlooking a beaver
wetland.
Catamount - Egremont - Skiing - justly known as "A Mountain you will remember."
Straddling both Hillsdale, NY and South Egremont, MA
(and very accessible to Connecticut skiers), Catamount
offers a good mix of trails, including several marked "for
experts only," though it appeals to all types of outdoor
sports, day and night, including alpine, cross country,
snowboarding on over 105 acres of skiiable area.
Catamount State Park - Colrain - The Catamount State Forest consisting of 1,125 acres was
acquired in 1966 from Western Massachusetts Electric
Company in exchange for a section of the Farley Tract in the
Erving State Forest.
Clarksburg State Park - This State Park contains 317 acres of mountain uplands,
containing forests, streams, trails and a pond. The altitude is
from 1000-2000 feet. There are opportunities for camping,
hiking, picnicing, swimming, fishing, hunting and winter sports.
Colrain State Park - Original acquisition was in 1909 and was primarily open land that had been grazed by sheep. This open land was reforerted and is now one of the largest and thriftiest plantations in Massachusetts.

Cranwell Resort - Lenox - X-Country Skiing - Cranwell is noted for many things; it is proudly billed as the
"Area's Finest Four-Season Resort." One of those seasons,
winter, features an outstanding XC experience. Spread out on
380 acres, there are over 15 km of groomed trails.
Cummington Fair - Cummington - Agricultural Fair - Horse pulling, single horse
powder puff, 3 horse, 3 draft classes, 4 classes oxen pulling,
4X4 truck pull, antique tractor pull, judging 4-H & adult
livestcock & more.
