Seth,

Your review on the Kenny Rogers concert was most interesting.

I have seen Kenny Rogers live seven times over five years, and I have never seen the man with the problems you describe. His voice is always wonderful, his stage act is humorous, his songs are excellent, his band sounds great, and the special effects and show "goodies" (laser lights, lighting, etc.) are always perfect.

All I ask of you is why you have to be so nasty about your disappointment. "...Kenny Rogers growled, barked and brayed his way..." That is rather nasty. If what you say is true, perhaps Rogers had a bad night. Perhaps his throat was bothering him. Why do you have to be so nasty to him? Cut him a little slack - everyone has a bad day now and then.

Your opinion is respected, and I hope to you mine is as well. I understand you are a critic, this is your job. However, Seth, Rogers has sold almost 90 million records. He must be doing something right. It is disrespectful for you to treat him so poorly. It must have been a bad night.

Answer those questions for me, and enjoy your summer.
