best known for Saint George's in New York and the New York State Capitol
at Albany. The library was a gift to the town in 1868 by Charles J. Plunkett.

Listed in the National Register of Historical Places, the federal style
Lenox Library was originally a courthouse designed by Isaac Damon in 1815.Features
a reading room, an art gallery, exhibits and displays, and an outdoor garden.
An excellent library with interesting literary and historical texts available
in open stacks. A nice atmosphere is a bonus.

In an Unfortunate event involving children and insense The Mill River
library was burned to the ground. The kids apparently went throughout the
township of New Marl borough throwing insense in various areas. What was
meant as no more than a prank has turned into a catastrophy.

One of the best libraries in the county, especially for kids and history
buffs. Many of the exhibits that used to be found at the old Corner House
museum (former Rockwell museum) are now on display in the library basement.
A great Stockbridge Indian exibit and archives. Many childrens books and
literacy resources are available.
