In addition to its 56 campsites, the forest has 5 overnight log cabins. Mohawk Trail has over 18 miles of rivers and streams for excellent trout fishing, a swimming area, and a day use picnic area. Many of the original Indian trails, including the Mohawk Trail, are open for hiking. This is one of the most scenic woodland areas of Massachusetts.
