The Berkshire Lyric Theatre is
the oldest community music organization in the Berkshires. Its purpose is
to foster and cultivate interest in the musical stage and choral music; to
provide training, practice and performance opportunities for the
development of musical talent; to encourage composition and
performance of contemporary opera; to establish scholarships for
deserving students of vocal music; and to promote a greater appreciation
and support of the opera, the musical stage and choral music.
