Brook Farm'sApple Cinnamon French Toast
12 medium size apples, peeled. cored and sliced In a large skillet, melt the butter and then sauté the apples and cinnamon until tender. Add the maple syrup and brown sugar and cook over medium heat until bubbly. Pour into a 9x13 greased glass baking dish. Remove the ends from the bread and cut into 10 thick slices. Layer the bread over the apple mixture, overlapping end to end. Mix together the eggs, milk and vanilla and pour over the bread, covering completely. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1/2 hour, or until golden. Serves 10.
