Santarella, the historic home
of the sculptor Henry Hudson Kitson, is a a truly magical and unique
place! Known as the Gingerbread House, it gets its name from its
storybook architecture and incredible roof. The design was the last
great project of Kitson's life, and occupied the last 20 years of
his life. The property has a history dating back to the late 18th
century, when the Tyringham valley was first being settled.

The estate is now operating as a
Special Event venue, catering to weddings, family events, meetings
and conferences, and other private functions. The grounds are open
to the public when they are not reserved for an event. Run by the
Hoefer-Brandmeyer family, their goal is to preserve the incredible
history and architecture of the property while still making it available
for the public to enjoy.
