John Stritch Sculptor and Painter

Stritch is something of a legend in the Berkshires. It is well known that he sacrificed a promising medical career to follow the muses. His work has been exhibited extensively in local galleries, museums and colleges. He has won prizes at Silvermine, the Wadsworth Anthenaeum and Berkshire Art Association. His sculpture and paintings are in numerous private collections.

Shady Villa, Stritch's home-studio-gallery is a special treat to the senses. On this site the artist's creative achievements harmonize and contrast with the natural environment in a satisfying fugue that renews and refreshes the soul. A visit to the Berkshires is incomplete without a sojourn there.
